The portal Valor Econômico highlighted the launch of the manual “Innovation in Cities: institutional challenges and successful experiences”, with the collaboration of our partner Diogo Santana. The document was launched last Wednesday, in Florianópolis, with a collection of experiences and a step by step proposal to streamline the hiring of innovation by the public administration.
In the report, Diogo Santana explains that one of the most recurring obstacles cited by mayors is the lack of legal certainty when trying to adopt innovative processes. “Since 2004, we have created innovation ecosystems of the highest complexity, many with public incentives, which has taken this more ‘heroic’ thing out of entrepreneurship”, but governments have not improved their mechanisms for contracting these already existing innovative solutions.”
