Bolsonaro finally appoints DPA directors, but privacy advocates voice concerns

Our partner Marcela Mattiuzzo has spoken to the Global Data Review about Brazil’s government decision to appoint directors to the country’s Data Protection Authority.

According to our partner, the background of 3 out of the 5 nominees is very cybersecurity oriented, but the most important message to be conveyed is that the Authority will have to further regulate several topics from the LGPD and it is very relevant that the nominees understand that need.
